-gathers more proof of the Law, publishes it as massive book on subject in 1866
-but nevertheless, inspires massive controversy
-this guy's politics are very republican, indeed he even advocates a better relationship with labor and women's rights
-causes frenzy, results in Law being associated with extreme radicalism
-but ironically, this helps its reputation in France
-he is also very republican
-to convince people of this Law, he tries to make it mathematical with demographic data
-has an understanding of mathematics, and is able to formulate with assistance equations based on logistic equations, others, to model the Law using binomials, coming very close to Hardy's Law
-finally culminates in discovery of [genetics]by 1910
